Bringing Homeopathy to the Lake District...
My name is Cheryl Hinde and I am a Member of the Lakeland College of Homeopathy and a Member of the Complementary Therapists Association.
Here I am pictured in the Healing Garden at Sudeley Castle in Gloucestershire which is full of medicinal plants and natural remedies.
I discovered the power of Homeopathy several years ago when I was suffering from ill health myself and conventional medicine could offer me no solutions. It was then that I started to look at complementary therapies and turned to Homeopathy. I was so impressed with the results and my own recovery that I trained as a Homeopath myself!
I studied at the Lakeland College of Homeopathy in Ambleside, here in the beautiful Lake District, Cumbria. My training encompassed the 'traditional' homeopathic remedies and also the 'New Age' remedies which can be more suited to modern day ailments such as stress, anxiety and depression. Flower Essences are also a passion of mine and I continue to research the ever expanding ranges of these.
Although I am based in Whitehaven, I am quite happy to expand the knowledge and use of Homeopathy and Flower Essences throughout Cumbria and the Lake District.

STOP PRESS - Local therapy practice helps raise £3,000 for Samaritans
Cheryl Hinde Homeopathy was proud to take part in Samaritans’ Feel Good Friday event, this year, and together with other therapists helped raise almost £3,000 for Samaritans.
For the second year running, WebHealer supported Samaritans’ annual fundraising initiative by encouraging and helping therapists such as Cheryl Hinde to get involved in the fundraising day.
Over 150 therapists across the UK took part in Feel Good Friday last February by donating a proportion of their treatment costs to Samaritans. As well as making donations, therapists were listed on WebHealer’s Feel Good Friday therapy map – www.webhealer.net/feel-good-friday
Cheryl Hinde said,
“Samaritans provides a vital service and it’s really important that the charity continues to be available round the clock. Those who made appointments on the day were able to feel good twice – by helping themselves and helping Samaritans.”
Samaritans needs to raise over £10 million each year to keep the service running. This year, contributions from therapists, matched by WebHealer, came to £2,962, amounting to keeping Samaritans’ vital service going for 36 hours.
Samaritans’ Director of Fundraising Rachel Kirby-Rider said,
“I’m really grateful to Cheryl Hinde, who helped make Feel Good Friday 2013 such a successful fundraiser for Samaritans. We receive a call for help every five seconds, and funds raised from the day will allow us to answer more calls from people struggling to cope.”
